Magic Find
What it does to your drops, and where it comes from.
What it does
Each item that drops for you rolls its quality from the best down: first Legendary, then Epic, then Rare, then Magic. If all four fail, the item is Common. Magic Find makes each of these rolls more likely to succeed.
- It counts for items from enemies, chests and breakables, and for the gear in a trader's stock.
- Diminishing returns: the more Magic Find you stack, the less each further point adds to Rare, Epic and Legendary. Legendary feels it least. Magic is the exception: there it counts in full.
- It changes only quality. Not how many items drop, not gold, skills or potions, and not gambling.
- Only worn items count. Your total shows in your character's statistics.
