The Unburied
“The earth is still loose. It was meant to hold you.”
You wake in a shallow grave at the edge of the woods. Someone buried you, and you do not remember dying. The survivors in the camp up the road have a name for the ones who come back: Forgewalkers.
Beneath the land the Deep Forge is burning. It draws the dead down and makes them into the things that crawl out of the pits. It would not take you. Walk down and find out why.
Power bound in steel
Forgewalkers bind sorcery into forged steel. Socket skills into what you carry, then twist them with modifiers.
Death takes its due
What you hold tight when you die is dragged back with your soul. The rest stays with the corpse.
The land is re-forged
Reach the bottom and the Forge remakes the world, crueller than before. You are still refused.
